The hope of spring

After the long, cold months of winter, it is such a joy to look out of our windows and see the snowdrops and daffodils. This reminds us that spring and summer are surely on their way. Even when we are facing health struggles, hardships, and a world of uncertainty, creation gives us hope.
When Jesus walked through His darkest hours, there seemed to be no hope. Yet from the deepest darkness of the cross came a radiant light. His resurrection. From despair, He gave us eternal hope. As dark winter gives way to the brightness of spring, Jesus brings light into our darkest seasons, and because He lives, we can hold fast to hope.
The light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness has not overcome it.
John 1:5
