The Living Waters of Christ

The "Living Waters of Christ" - a flowing waterfall with autumnal sunlight behind. This September the waterways look a little different. With the long dry spell, some canals are restricted, and boats that long to journey freely are having to wait or change course.

It reminds us how dependent we are on water — not just for navigation, but for life itself. Psalm 63:1 says, “O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.”

Just as the canals need the rains to be refreshed, so our spirits need the living water of Christ to keep us moving. Sometimes God allows restrictions and pauses so that we learn to depend more fully on Him. These enforced moorings can become places of rest, prayer, and new perspective.

This September, as we see the changing season and wait for the rains, may we also thirst for God, trusting that He will refresh us in His time and guide our journeys forward.
